Rugby star Danny Cipriani and his fiancée AnnaLynne McCord have set up an online fundraising campaign, urging their wedding attendees to contribute towards their special day. This initiative follows a previous incident where Danny’s ex-wife, Victoria Rose, publicly criticized him for financial troubles involving bailiffs clamping her car. The former rugby player, often compared to David Beckham, proposed to AnnaLynne in a romantic gesture involving rose petals and a heartfelt moment on one knee.
The couple, who met on the celebrity dating app Raya a decade ago, are planning to exchange vows in August. Instead of traditional wedding expenses draining their finances, they have chosen a unique approach by inviting guests to support various aspects of their wedding through a Honeyfund page. Contributions ranging from £75 to £450 can go towards decorations, beverages, the wedding cake, and more.
Guests have the option to donate specifically for items like reception catering at £200 per person and photography services priced at a surprisingly low £250. Additionally, individuals can contribute £550 for floral arrangements or allocate funds towards the couple’s honeymoon. The total requested amount for wedding expenses is £10,660, excluding additional cash donations.
Mirror Online has reached out to representatives of the couple for comments. Alongside financial contributions, guests can leave messages in the couple’s guestbook ahead of their upcoming nuptials. AnnaLynne, aged 38, expressed overwhelming emotions before accepting Danny’s proposal, recalling a tearful moment followed by joyful laughter.
Their relationship has seen ups and downs, with a history of on-and-off dynamics before ultimately reuniting. Danny, known for his rugby career that included appearances for his country and various clubs, retired from the sport at the age of 36.
