Sarah Ferguson sent an email expressing affection to Jeffrey Epstein while he was in prison for soliciting sex from a minor. Recently disclosed documents from the Department of Justice reveal that the former Duchess was in frequent communication with Epstein regarding her new business venture called Mothers Army. The correspondence showed Ferguson seeking advice on how to make the business commercially successful, with one email even ending with “love you.”
The emails exchanged between Ferguson and Epstein in 2009 indicated her interest in launching Mothers Army as a commercial enterprise. Despite initial associations of the concept with Ferguson, Epstein mentioned in a 2011 email that she could have ownership of Mothers Army entirely.
Epstein, acknowledging their long-standing relationship and friendship with Ferguson and her former husband, referred to himself as the “brother” she had always desired. Although Ferguson’s involvement with Epstein has tarnished her reputation, there have been no allegations of wrongdoing against her.
The fallout from the association led to the temporary closure of Sarah’s Trust, a charity founded by Ferguson. The charity’s trustees, including Ferguson, decided to close it temporarily due to the negative impact on her reputation. Despite this setback, the charity highlighted its achievements in providing aid and support to various causes globally, including during the Covid-19 pandemic and in conflict zones like Ukraine.
