The London Marathon attracted a plethora of celebrities today as thousands of participants raced through the capital. The 46th edition of the event covered 26.2 miles, commencing at Blackheath and concluding at The Mall, passing landmarks like Buckingham Palace and Clarence House. An estimated 60,000 individuals are taking part, marking it as one of the marathon’s most extensive races.
The day began with the elite wheelchair race at 8:50 am, followed by the elite women’s race at 9:05 am, and later the elite men and the initial wave of mass runners. Notable figures participating this year include Tilly Ramsay, Charlie Quirke, James Norton, Cynthia Erivo, Jack O’Connell, Samantha Spiro, Alexandra Burke, Nikita Kuzmin, and Kitty Scott Claus.
Famous attendees like Gordon Ramsay, Greg, Spencer, Curtis, Mo, Alexandra, Harry Judd, AJ, and Joe Wicks were seen either running the marathon or offering support to fellow participants. Tilly and Nikita successfully completed the race, with Joe Wicks taking part amidst recent controversy over his marathon fueling comments. Additionally, Joe ended speculation about being Daddy Pig by posing next to the character.
