When asked about his potential return to Strictly, Aljaž expressed anticipation for the official announcement, highlighting the show’s evolution with each season’s cast changes. Reflecting on his long tenure on the show, he acknowledged the bittersweet nature of seeing colleagues depart but also embraced the opportunity to welcome new faces and energies.

Aljaž emphasized the dynamic nature of working on Strictly, noting the excitement that comes with dancing alongside different celebrities each year. He emphasized his close relationships with past dance partners, underscoring the unique bond fostered through the show’s collaborative environment.

Regarding his hiatus from Strictly in 2022 and subsequent return in 2024, Aljaž explained that his decision stemmed from a desire to focus on his family, particularly his role as a hands-on father. He expressed gratitude for the chance to prioritize family and then seamlessly rejoin the show, becoming the only professional dancer ever to make a comeback post-hiatus.
