Steve Wright’s brother has raised concerns about the possibility of additional victims of the notorious ‘Suffolk Strangler’. Steve Wright, aged 67, was recently convicted for the murder of Victoria Hall, a teenager from Trimley St Mary in Suffolk, more than 25 years ago.
He admitted to killing Victoria and kidnapping her, as well as attempting to kidnap another woman the night before. In 2008, Wright received a life sentence for the murders of five women in Ipswich between October and December 2006 – Tania Nicol, Gemma Adams, Anneli Alderton, Paula Clennell, and Annette Nicholls.
Keith Wright, Steve’s younger brother, expressed concerns that there may be undisclosed victims yet to be revealed. Keith emphasized the importance of Steve cooperating with the authorities to bring closure to the unresolved questions surrounding the case.
During the trial, it was revealed that Victoria Hall was last seen alive in Trimley St Mary in September 1999 after a night out with a friend at a nightclub. Tragically, she was attacked just yards away from her home and her body was discovered days later.
Following a reinvestigation by Suffolk Police in 2019, Wright was arrested in July 2021 and charged in May 2024. Despite objections from his defense, Wright admitted to the murder in court. The sentencing for Wright is scheduled to take place at the Central Criminal Court on Friday.
