Jamie Lee Arrow’s adolescence rebellion was overshadowed by a grim past. When she was just nine years old, she discovered that her father had killed and consumed his girlfriend.
Isakin Drabbad, her father, had separated from her mother when Jamie was very young. Despite this, she maintained contact with him and grew close to his new partner, Helle Christensen, who played a maternal role in her life.
However, the relationship between Helle and Isakin was fraught with toxicity and violence, with Jamie witnessing disturbing arguments between them as a child. On one occasion, Helle ominously told Jamie while serving her a meal, “Enjoy your meal… this is the last time I’ll ever cook for you, because Isakin is going to kill me.”
Tragically, Helle’s prophecy came true. In November 2010, Drabbad, who identified as a Satanist, brutally murdered Helle by slashing her throat, beheading her, and consuming parts of her body.
In a recent emotional interview with LadBible, Jamie shared how her mother tried to shield her from the harsh truth about her father, expressing, “My life as I knew it didn’t exist anymore.”
Describing the restrictions imposed on her, Jamie explained, “I wasn’t allowed to watch TV, listen to the radio, go to shops, or attend school for a month. They kept the curtains drawn to prevent neighbors from peeking in.”
Drabbad’s trial garnered significant attention as details emerged about his gruesome actions. Reports detailed how he used the same blade to disrobe Helle after killing her.
Armed with a knife, saw, and axe, he dismembered Helle’s body and even cooked portions of her flesh with cannabis leaves. Shockingly, he had intentions of consuming Helle’s head as well.
Despite his conviction and placement in a secure psychiatric facility, Drabbad remained in the spotlight. During his time at Karsudden Regional Hospital, he formed a relationship with another patient, the infamous “Vampire killer” Michelle Gustafsson.
Drabbad also created a blog where he addressed inquiries from the public about his crimes. In one post, he callously stated, “Most people claim they would never take a life, but when you have done it, it’s no longer a big deal.”
In a YouTube video, Drabbad expressed his disdain for humanity, asserting, “I consider myself anti-human. There’s nothing about humans that I admire. The only historical figures I respect are the Vikings, the Spartans, and similar individuals.”
Furthermore, he established an online store selling handmade voodoo dolls signed in his blood, labeled “They call me Skara Cannibal.”
When Jamie finally visited her father in prison as a teenager, Drabbad gave her one of these voodoo dolls, claiming it could harm the bullies at her school.
The stigma surrounding her father led to Jamie being bullied in school, known only as “the cannibal’s daughter.” The emotional toll pushed her into substance abuse at a young age.
In an interview with People magazine, Jamie revealed her father’s manipulation during their conversations, which eventually led to him cutting off communication after sending a disturbing message threatening her and her family.
Despite the pain caused by her father, Jamie found closure in the wake of his threats. She emphasized her commitment to shielding her children from the darkness she endured in her own upbringing.
Today, Jamie’s top priority is ensuring her children are shielded from the trauma she faced, determined to prevent them from encountering any form of darkness in their lives.
