A young man in his twenties was fatally stabbed, and a teenager has been taken into custody on suspicion of murder.
Authorities responded to an incident on Southwick Road in Northern Moor, Greater Manchester, late Thursday night after receiving reports of an injured man. Upon arrival, officers discovered the victim, who tragically succumbed to his injuries at the scene. Subsequently, a 19-year-old male was apprehended and is currently being held for interrogation.

The victim, a man in his twenties, was pronounced dead at the scene on Southwick Road. Witnesses reported observing a vehicle being towed away from the cordoned area earlier in the day.
Residents recounted their shock upon seeing the forensic tent erected in the morning. One resident expressed disbelief at the uncommon occurrence in the neighborhood, stating, “I just can’t believe it. Nothing ever happens here. I’m just shocked. Really shocked. It’s a bit scary as well.”
Witnesses described a significant emergency response by services during the early hours of Friday, with a police cordon established and forensic teams present at the scene. The area remains sealed off as investigations continue into the tragic stabbing incident.
