An urgent call to emergency services has shed light on the frantic efforts made by Bobby J Brown’s wife to rescue him when he became trapped in a barn fire. The Wire actor tragically passed away on Tuesday after being engulfed in the fire while attempting to jump start his car inside the barn.

The Maryland Office of the Chief Medical Examiner later confirmed that Bobby’s death was caused by diffuse thermal injury and smoke inhalation. Audio recordings from a 911 call captured a dispatcher coordinating emergency services’ rescue efforts for the TV star. The call, available on TMZ, reveals how Arlene urgently reported Bobby’s entrapment in the burning barn.

According to reports, the fire ignited when Bobby tried to start his old Cadillac. First responders initiated a water supply operation to combat the fire. The dispatcher suggested using a fireboat due to the proximity to water but noted challenges with two vehicles exposed to the flames as fire trucks arrived.

During the emergency response, responders faced difficulties due to limited space and requested room for specialized services. Despite efforts to contain the fire with water, it spread to nearby grass, prompting further action to prevent its escalation.

Bobby’s daughter confirmed his tragic passing on Thursday, revealing that he had called a relative for a fire extinguisher when the fire initially broke out. Unfortunately, by the time help arrived, the fire had already consumed the barn.

Best known for his role as Officer Bobby Brown in The Wire, Bobby also appeared in Law & Order: SVU, Veep, and We Own This City. Fans poured out tributes on social media following his demise, praising his remarkable acting skills and expressing heartfelt condolences to his family and admirers worldwide.

Sadly, Bobby is not the only actor from The Wire to have recently passed away. His co-star James Ransone, known for portraying Ziggy Sobotka, died by suicide in December at the age of 46. James’ death was confirmed by the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner.
