The lifeless body of a 25-year-old social media influencer from TikTok was discovered abandoned in a wooded area in Mae Sot, Thailand. Authorities found Ko Tin Zaw Htwe deceased in a forest on January 20, showing signs of severe injuries indicating a violent attack.

A bloodstained wooden stick, suspected to be the weapon used in the assault, was located at the crime scene. Police Colonel Rang Dawadung, the Superintendent of Mae Sot Police Station, confirmed that a suspect has been apprehended in connection with Ko’s murder, with investigations ongoing.

The arrested individual’s identity has not been disclosed. Reports mentioned that Ko was found wearing a yellow shirt under a black jacket and pants that had been pulled down, with his belt undone. Additionally, items like an empty alcohol bottle, a bag, a bank book, and a condom were recovered from the site.

Local media stated that Ko’s gold jewelry and mobile phone were missing. A resident who was tending to livestock discovered Ko’s remains and promptly alerted the authorities. It was reported that Ko went missing after receiving a distress call via social media on January 18.

In the wake of Ko’s tragic death, friends have gathered at Luang Temple to pay their respects, while his family is preparing for his cremation at Luang Mae Sot Cemetery. Prior to his demise, Ko had built a significant following on TikTok, with over 947,000 followers, where he shared lifestyle content, dance videos, and moments with his partner.

Supporters have flooded Ko’s recent posts with heartfelt tributes and calls for justice. Comments from mourners expressed condolences and disbelief at the loss of such a vibrant soul. The community demands accountability for the senseless tragedy that befell Ko.
