Following the birth of their son, the couple unveiled the name Midas, which sparked speculation linking it to Greek mythology and the mythical King Midas, known for his golden touch. Nevertheless, Molly-Mae clarified in a vlog that their son’s name was inspired by the robot boxing film, Real Steel. She explained that they had chosen the name Midas Thomas Fury long before the birth, emphasizing that the name’s origin was not rooted in Greek mythology but rather derived from the film’s character.

Molly-Mae further elaborated on her affinity for the name Midas, recounting how she came across it while watching the film and found it to be a powerful and unique choice. She highlighted Tommy’s immediate fondness for the name, underscoring its significance in their decision-making process.
