A prominent TOWIE personality has made a significant decision to step away from the public eye after enjoying fame on the popular television series for several years.

The show, broadcasted on ITV2, catapulted individuals like Gemma Collins and Mark Wright into stardom, leading to prosperous careers in the entertainment industry. However, one of the show’s well-known figures has opted to depart from the glitz and glamour to pursue a new role as a waste collector, a stark contrast from the glamorous scenes of Brentwood.

Kirk Norcross rose to prominence as an original cast member of TOWIE back in 2011 but exited the show after a two-year stint. Subsequently, he appeared on Celebrity Big Brother and MTV’s Ex On The Beach in 2015, choosing to maintain a relatively low profile since then.

Presently, Kirk has completely abandoned the world of fame and is now engaged in waste collection work. He is involved in managing County Clear Waste, a same-day waste collection service operating in Norfolk and Suffolk.

The inception of the company seems recent, as its Instagram page became active in early January, yet it has already amassed over 1,500 followers.

This new venture is not Kirk’s first business endeavor post-TOWIE. Previously, he ran his own jet-washing business, KN Jet Services, in Essex, marking his transition to a more conventional occupation following his departure from the entertainment industry.

In a statement to The Sun in 2020, Kirk expressed contentment in his current line of work, labeling the previous celebrity lifestyle as “toxic.” He emphasized his happiness in pursuing regular roles, contrasting his former extravagant lifestyle with a newfound appreciation for simplicity.

In a candid revelation in 2024, Kirk disclosed feeling desolate after a private video involving him was leaked online. Reflecting on the incident, he highlighted the pervasiveness of sharing intimate content in the digital era, remarking that he was not the only individual to have experienced such a situation.

By embracing a simpler and more grounded lifestyle away from the spotlight, Kirk Norcross exemplifies a shift towards authenticity and fulfillment beyond the trappings of celebrity culture.
