A tragic incident occurred when a young woman lost her life in a bungee jumping accident in Brazil. The 21-year-old, who remains unidentified, was fatally thrown from Skeleton Bridge in Limeira, Sao Paulo, as the safety cord was not properly secured by the staff overseeing the activity.

Heartbreaking footage captured the moment the woman was propelled off the bridge, completely unaware that she was not attached to the essential cable meant to support thrill-seekers during their jumps. Following the incident, emergency responders arrived at the scene but could only confirm the woman’s death. Her body was later taken to the Legal Medical Institute for further investigation.

Prior to the fatal jump, the woman had posted a photo on Instagram with a caption expressing disbelief at being allowed to take the risky leap. Meanwhile, her fiancé, who was present at the scene, required medical attention after experiencing distress upon learning of her tragic death.

The incident is currently under investigation by the Civil Police to determine if any individuals involved will face criminal charges. The Limeira City Council has also announced its intention to file a complaint against the Brazilian federal government for negligence in maintaining safety measures at the site.

Limeira Mayor Murilo Félix emphasized the need to hold those responsible accountable for the lack of safety measures at the federal area, which has been recognized as a hazardous location for some time.
