Two additional skiers have tragically lost their lives following an avalanche that claimed the lives of eight others during a ski excursion.
Emergency responders attended to “two distinct fatal ski accidents” at the Heavenly Mountain Resort, situated on the border of California and Nevada on Friday morning. Authorities clarified that both incidents occurred independently but took place at Boulder Lodge on the Nevada side of the resort.
