A bus and truck driver who tragically lost their lives in a devastating three-vehicle crash in Ireland have been identified in newly released images.

Paul Conway, in his 50s, was operating the Bus Eireann bus involved in the collision, while Wesley O’Reilly, aged 48, was driving a lorry when both vehicles were involved in a severe accident with a car on the R132 in Gormanston, Co Meath, on Monday morning. Up to twelve individuals sustained injuries, including the car driver who was urgently transported to Dublin’s Beaumont Hospital and is currently in critical condition.

Eyewitnesses observed approximately six ambulances, along with medical units and multiple fire trucks, rushing to the scene. The road was closed for several hours to facilitate an investigation by Gardai into the tragic incident.

Local residents shared that the Bus Eireann driver was a well-known father of seven children, as reported by the Irish Mirror. Mr. Conway was also known as an enthusiastic hunter from Tallanstown in Co Meath.

Mr. O’Reilly, a married father of three, originally hailing from the Finglas area of Dublin, had relocated to Loughshinny near Skerries in the northern part of the county. A death notice released on Tuesday detailed his family members and funeral arrangements.

In an official statement following the crash, a Garda spokesperson mentioned ongoing efforts by authorities and emergency services at the accident site in Gormanstown, Co. Meath. The spokesperson urged any witnesses, especially those with camera footage, who were traveling on the R132 between 5:45 am and 6:45 am on the day of the incident to provide their recordings to the investigating Gardai.

Bus Eireann also issued a statement confirming the involvement of one of their buses in the collision, emphasizing their cooperation with emergency services at the scene and promising further updates as information unfolds.
