A tragic incident occurred on a Carnival Cruise Line vessel as a woman fell from a balcony to her death. The Carnival Firenze was sailing near Catalina Island, approximately 22 miles off the Southern California coast, when the passenger plunged from the balcony onto a lower deck. The woman, who was traveling with her family, was discovered by her relatives who promptly alerted the ship’s crew.

A company spokesperson stated that all relevant authorities have been notified, and law enforcement will board the ship at Catalina Island for an investigation. The circumstances surrounding the woman’s fall remain unclear.

Offering support to the guest’s family, the spokesperson mentioned that Carnival’s Care Team is assisting them during this difficult time. The Carnival Firenze has a capacity to accommodate 4,126 guests and 1,425 crew members, as stated on the Carnival Cruise Line website.
