A tragic incident unfolded during a family vacation in Mallorca where a three-year-old girl, Eleri Ellesmere, lost her life after being found in a swimming pool. The heartbreaking event occurred on June 24 at Villa Francisca near Pollenca. Despite efforts to revive her, Eleri was pronounced dead at Son Espases Hospital in Palma the next day.
The initial cause of Eleri’s death was determined as drowning-related asphyxiation and respiratory failure. The family, hailing from Newport, South Wales, expressed profound grief over the loss of their beloved daughter. Eleri’s parents, Cerys and Joe, shared their heartache, highlighting the unimaginable pain they are enduring.
A fundraiser has been set up to support the family with funeral expenses and provide them with the necessary time and space to mourn their devastating loss.
