Two individuals have lost their lives, and a female has been hospitalized following a river swim in Australia.
The incident occurred at John Locke Place in Gleniffer, located about 530 kilometers north of Sydney, at 6:45 pm on Sunday, January 25. Authorities responded to a distress call reporting that three individuals, all in their thirties, were experiencing difficulties while swimming in the Never Never River.
Emergency services were alerted after receiving information that the trio had become submerged underwater. The woman was rescued from the river, receiving on-site medical attention before being transported to the hospital in a critical condition, with reports indicating she is pregnant.
Despite efforts to revive them, the two men could not be saved and succumbed at the scene.
