US President Donald Trump has stated that despite being deemed “very healthy” by doctors, he continues to take aspirin to be cautious. He mentioned a recent hand bruise, which he attributed to his aspirin usage.
Aspirin is known for its blood-thinning properties, which can lead to increased bruising and bleeding by preventing platelets from clotting. When asked about the bruise on his hand, Trump explained that he accidentally injured it on a table and applied cream to it.
Trump emphasized the importance of aspirin for heart health but acknowledged that it may cause bruising. Despite doctors advising him that he does not need to take aspirin due to his good health, Trump insisted on taking precautions.
The President’s health has been a topic of public interest, with past instances of hand bruising being linked to extensive handshaking, as stated by White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt.
