Donald Trump is said to be extremely upset after witnessing the small turnout at his Great American State Fair, as per a recent report. The event, held to commemorate America’s 250th birthday, has been ongoing for weeks at the National Mall, but the low attendance has raised concerns among White House officials regarding the upcoming Fourth of July speech by Trump.
The fair, organized by Freedom 250, a partnership initiated by Trump, has caused unease among officials given that Congress had already established a bipartisan commission to oversee the country’s birthday celebrations. Following the withdrawal of several musical acts from the opening show on June 24, Trump took the spotlight, delivering a 30-minute impromptu speech to the audience, which mainly comprised administration officials and Trump supporters.
Despite speaking confidently about his achievements and America’s regained respect, Trump reportedly became furious upon realizing the small crowd size after viewing an aerial photograph showing significant empty spaces behind the front rows. Subsequently, the snapshot was removed from social media posts by White House officials.
Discrepancies arose in the reported crowd size, with Trump claiming an attendance of “at least 45,000 people,” while NBC News estimates contradicted this figure. Concerns linger that a similar turnout may occur at Trump’s planned July 4 celebration on the National Mall, featuring a “TRUMP RALLY” address, military performances, and fireworks. The event, barring coolers due to high temperatures, is expected to run late into the night, potentially affecting attendance.
Criticism has been voiced regarding the late timing of the event, with doubts raised about its feasibility. Efforts are being made to ensure a sizable crowd near the stage by ticketing the viewing section, although the distribution of free tickets might lead to no-shows. White House spokesman Davis Ingle emphasized Trump’s commitment to providing a memorable 250th birthday celebration for America, emphasizing patriotism and national pride under his leadership.
