“Trump’s ‘Project Freedom’ to Rescue Ships in Hormuz Crisis”

Published on

The President of the United States has declared that ships from nations not involved in the conflict with Iran, currently stranded in the Strait of Hormuz, will be assisted in leaving on Monday morning. Using the Truth Social platform, former President Trump announced the launch of a new initiative called ‘Project Freedom’ as a humanitarian effort to free the trapped vessels, emphasizing the need to alleviate the situation for innocent parties affected by the ongoing standoff.

Following the military actions on Tehran by the US and Israel on February 28, Iran has blockaded the Strait of Hormuz, disrupting the passage of approximately 20% of the world’s oil shipments. As negotiations between the US and Iran reached an impasse in Islamabad, Pakistan, last month, the US navy initiated its own blockade of Iranian ports to address the escalating crisis.

Trump assured that only neutral and innocent bystanders caught in the crossfire would be permitted to navigate through the strait safely. He stressed the importance of aiding countries whose ships are unjustly detained, affirming the commitment to ensuring the free flow of maritime traffic for global trade operations.

Under the codename “Project Freedom,” the President confirmed the commencement of the operation on Monday morning in the Middle East time zone. This development coincides with Iran’s purported proposal of a 14-point plan to the US aimed at ending the conflict, along with a request for a 30-day ceasefire extension.

Acknowledging progress in diplomatic talks, Trump remains cautiously optimistic about potential positive outcomes but issued a stern warning against any hindrance to the humanitarian mission to release the trapped vessels. Emphasizing the necessity of this gesture as a humanitarian effort supported by the United States and concerned nations, he underscored the urgent need to address the dire conditions faced by the crews aboard these ships.

Trump emphasized the significance of demonstrating goodwill and humanity amidst the prolonged conflicts in the region, urging all parties to respect the humanitarian mission. Any interference with the process, he warned, would be met with a resolute response to safeguard the interests of those affected by the crisis.
