TV host Alison Hammond found herself in an unexpected situation when she was accused of causing a stir on the set of a popular Netflix series. The 51-year-old presenter, known for her appearances on This Morning and other shows like the Great British Bake Off and Strictly Come Dancing, visited the set of Bridgerton, a period drama she admires.
During her visit to Shepperton Studios in Surrey, where Bridgerton is filmed, Alison took on interviewing duties for the YouTube channel Still Watching Netflix. She spoke with Luke Thompson and Yerin Ha, who play key roles in the series. Luke playfully teased Alison about getting into trouble during her visit, to which she responded with laughter and confusion.
While discussing her experience on the Bridgerton set, Luke mentioned Alison wearing one of Golda Rosheuvel’s wigs and looking incredibly happy as she strolled around the backlot. Bridgerton’s fourth season has recently finished filming, and the show has already been renewed for a fifth season.
In other news, Alison revealed that she turned down an offer to return to Strictly Come Dancing due to scheduling conflicts. Despite placing 10th in the 2014 season, she declined the opportunity to host the show following the departure of Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman. Additionally, Alison mentioned rejecting an appearance on Celebrity Traitors for the same reason, citing her busy schedule as the main obstacle.
Although flattered by the offers, Alison expressed that her current commitments would not allow her to participate in either show. She emphasized her satisfaction with her existing projects and expressed gratitude for the consideration. Alison can be currently seen on ITVX’s For The Love of Dogs.
