Angela Ward, a woman from Clacton-on-Sea, Essex, decided to make a fresh start abroad after feeling trapped and overlooked in the UK. Selling almost all her belongings, she bought a one-way ticket, packed her life into two suitcases, and embarked on a journey without a solid plan, a move she considers her best decision ever.

Expressing her feelings of invisibility and financial struggle in Britain, Angela shared her decision to leave everything behind except for essential items like her passport and bank cards. Despite her successful career as an NHS consultant, Angela faced mounting debt and financial strain, leading to a breaking point in 2023.

After experiencing setbacks in selling her property and facing challenges in finding employment, Angela had a moment of clarity following the death of her dog. She chose to rent out her home, sell off possessions, and retain only essential items before relocating to Cyprus in December 2025.

Now settled in Cyprus, Angela is sharing her journey on social media and has written a book to help others shift their mindset. She is also offering digital marketing courses and exploring new business opportunities to assist people in breaking free from survival mode and experiencing life differently. Angela emphasized the importance of letting go of material possessions for the sake of freedom and personal growth.
