A request has been made by a US legislator for Sarah Ferguson to provide testimony regarding her connections with the late convicted child sex trafficker Jeffrey Epstein. Virginia Democrat House Representative Suhas Subramanyam directly reached out to Ferguson, urging her to testify about her close personal and business relationships. Additionally, Subramanyam inquired about any information she may have regarding her former husband Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor’s interactions with Epstein.

This call for cooperation marks a significant pressure point for the former Duchess of York amidst the ongoing Epstein Files controversy. Despite Epstein’s criminal convictions related to child sex offenses in 2008, Ferguson maintained a longstanding friendship with him, maintaining communication even after his legal troubles.

In a letter obtained by the BBC, Subramanyam emphasized the importance of Ferguson’s collaboration with the Committee on Oversight and Government Reform’s investigation into Epstein’s illicit activities. The committee is actively seeking information from individuals knowledgeable about Epstein’s criminal operations, with reports indicating Ferguson’s close ties with Epstein.

The letter further stated, “As the Committee pursues justice for the victims of Epstein’s criminal network and aims for transparency, I kindly request your participation in the investigation.” Documentation referenced in the letter included emails where Ferguson referred to Epstein as a ‘legend’ post-conviction, expressing gratitude and willingness to assist financially. Department of Justice records also indicated Epstein’s potential ownership involvement in Ferguson’s company and direct financial assistance requests made by Ferguson to Epstein.

This development highlights the increasing scrutiny on individuals associated with Epstein and the ongoing efforts to shed light on his criminal activities.
