Vanessa Feltz has shared that she is back in the dating scene but has acknowledged that her experiences have not been successful so far. The well-known broadcaster, aged 62, ended her 16-year relationship with pop star Ben Ofoedu, 54, in 2023 due to his infidelity.

Recently, the former Strictly Come Dancing contestant, whose daytime show on Channel 5 was abruptly canceled a few weeks ago, disclosed her attempts to meet new people. Vanessa recounted two unexpected dating encounters that did not go as expected.

She recounted going on a date with a man she met outside a store, describing him as “handsome and polite,” but ultimately feeling no connection. Another encounter involved meeting a “considerably younger man” on an escalator in a tube station who took her to a tasting restaurant. However, the evening was dominated by his lengthy discussions about his “tragic” life stories.

Speaking on Best’s Suddenly Single podcast, Vanessa shared her experience of enduring a long dinner with the younger man who continuously talked about his difficult life. Despite feeling overwhelmed by the never-ending tasting menu with numerous courses, she politely sat through the ordeal. Reflecting on the challenging experience, she maintained optimism, believing that persistence in dating will eventually lead her to the right match.
