Three individuals have been transported to the hospital after an incident outside a bustling shopping center in Ealing, located in west London. The event occurred when a vehicle struck pedestrians near Marks and Spencer on The Broadway around 3:15 pm, as witnessed by onlookers who observed paramedics attending to two individuals at the scene.
Due to the incident, The Broadway is now shut down in both directions from High Street to Spring Bridge Road. Emergency services responded promptly, with three injured persons receiving medical treatment, including one individual urgently taken to a major trauma center following the collision earlier at 2:30 pm.
London Ambulance Service reported that they were alerted at 2:29 pm on June 27 regarding the road traffic collision in Ealing Broadway, W5. Multiple resources were dispatched, including ambulance crews, paramedics in rapid response vehicles, an emergency responder crew, an incident response officer, and London’s Air Ambulance. Three patients were treated on-site, with one transported to a major trauma center and the other two to a local hospital.
Traffic monitoring site Inrix confirmed that The Broadway is closed in both directions, causing traffic congestion due to the accident from B455 High Street to Spring Bridge Road. Google traffic maps also indicate the closure between High Street and Spring Bridge Road.
An eyewitness capturing the emergency response reported that at least three individuals sustained injuries in the incident, describing a car with rear bumper damage, one person being loaded into an ambulance, and two individuals on the ground. Social media footage showed an air ambulance landing near the collision site, with several ambulances present.
