A man in Greenock, Scotland, has faced a relentless two-week attack from a swarm of wasps that invaded his top-floor flat, causing him and his pets, including two cats and a dog, to be repeatedly stung. Craig McDonald, 38, expressed his frustration over the situation, revealing that the insects took over his bedroom, making it impossible for him to enter without risking being attacked. Despite reaching out to his landlord, Oak Tree Housing Association, for assistance, McDonald claimed that they initially dismissed the issue as not being a wasp nest due to the time of year, even though it coincided with peak wasp season.

McDonald criticized the housing association for failing to address the wasp infestation in his home, which has severely impacted his health and sleep quality. He highlighted the ongoing stinging incidents that have left him sleep-deprived and concerned for the well-being of his pets. Despite attempts by pest control to address the problem, the nest remains intact, leading McDonald to consider vacating his residence until the issue is resolved.

The infestation occurred during peak wasp season, a period between April and October when wasps are known to build nests and increase in numbers. The surge in wasp activity typically peaks in August, driven by warmer weather conditions and prolonged sunlight.
