Wetherspoon is kicking off a January Sale at 600 of its pubs today, offering a pint of beer for as low as 99p. The discounted drinks lineup includes Worthington’s beer at 99p per pint, Coldwater Creek wine at £2.99 for a 250ml glass, Johnnie Walker Black Label (25ml with a mixer) at £1.99, and Tanqueray gin (25ml with a mixer) also at £1.99.

In addition to alcoholic beverages, there is a wide selection of low-alcohol and alcohol-free drinks available, such as Guinness 0.0, Corona Cero, Brewdog Punk AF, Stella Artois Alcohol Free, Erdinger Isotonic, Thatchers zero, Koppaberg Alcohol Free, and Gordons 0.0 pink gin, each priced at £1.69. Beck’s Blue and Sanpellegrino Aranciata Rossa will be on sale for 99p each.

Food discounts are also on the menu at Wetherspoon, with options like an 11-inch Margherita pizza or a chicken burger with chips for £4.99 including a soft drink, or £6.52 with an alcoholic beverage.

For those craving jacket potatoes, customers can enjoy six different fillings for £4.99 with a soft drink, or £6.52 with an alcoholic drink. Additional fillings or side salads can be added for 99p. New gourmet jacket potatoes are available for £6.49 with a soft drink and £8.02 with an alcoholic drink.

The loaded spud features cheese, maple-cured bacon, garlic butter, and sour cream, while the Mexican spud offers a vegetarian option with chilli bean non-carne, cheese, guacamole, crushed tortilla chips, sliced chillies, and coriander. The smoky potato is loaded with pulled BBQ beef brisket, cheese, smoky chipotle mayo, and sliced chillies.

Wetherspoon’s founder and chairman, Tim Martin, expressed enthusiasm for the January Sale, likening it to the sales often seen in department stores during the month. The sale will kick off on January 2 at 600 pubs, extending to January 15, with Scottish pubs starting on January 3. Prices may vary at the remaining 200 Wetherspoon venues.
