Harry Taylor, aged 52, has set up camp outside the tournament venue annually since 1992, forming lasting friendships with fellow fans along the way. Despite challenges, such as this year’s heatwave, Harry remains undeterred, equipped with a heat-reflective tent, a solar panel for charging electronics, and video display glasses for entertainment while waiting in line.

Harry, who runs the Red Lion Inn in Bridge, Kent, joined the queue two days before Wimbledon’s commencement, securing the 28th spot among the eager attendees. He commended the All England Club for continually enhancing the queuing experience, with improvements noticed each year.

The tournament organizers have adapted to the influx of campers, now offering upgraded restroom facilities and implementing a numbered card system to maintain queue order.
