Disturbing images have surfaced revealing the horrendous living conditions of a woman who was held captive as a “house slave” for years. The victim, now in her mid-40s, entered the dilapidated residence of Amanda Wixon, a mother of ten, in 1995 and endured abuse until 2021. Court proceedings disclosed that the victim suffered physical violence, including having her teeth knocked out, being force-fed washing-up liquid, enduring bleach attacks, and having her head forcibly shaved. She was deprived of proper meals, confined to the house, and forced to wash clandestinely at night.

Following a guilty verdict on multiple charges against Wixon, police have released photos showcasing the appalling conditions in which the victim resided in Tewkesbury, Gloucestershire. The images depict the victim’s disorderly and unadorned bedroom, highlighting the grim environment she endured. Testimony in Gloucester Crown Court revealed the overcrowded and unsanitary state of the family home, with reports of mold, deteriorating walls, and a littered backyard.

Although Wixon denied several charges including false imprisonment and physical assault, the jury found her guilty of most allegations. Sentencing for Wixon is scheduled for March 12 after she was granted conditional bail. Judge Ian Lawrie KC remarked on the Dickensian nature of the case, underscoring the victim’s harrowing ordeal as she bravely spoke out against her abuser. Despite the damning evidence, Wixon chose not to offer an apology when pressed by reporters outside the court.

The court proceedings unveiled that social services had previous involvement with the family in the late 1990s, but no records indicated ongoing support. Prosecutors highlighted the lack of medical or dental records for the victim, suggesting significant neglect over the years. In her defense, Wixon’s lawyer portrayed the prosecution’s case as built on falsehoods, insinuating a fabricated narrative by the victim. The defense attorney also shed light on the challenging circumstances faced by Wixon, emphasizing broader issues within the family dynamic.
