Zoe Ball recently expressed feelings of sadness as she bid farewell to a dear family friend who had been caring for her daughter for many years. During a chat with Jo Whiley on their Dig It podcast, the 52-year-old shared that she had enjoyed a spa day with her close companions Emma and Adele.
Recalling the day, Zoe mentioned that she and her loved ones were deeply affected by Adele’s departure, as she had been a pillar of support for the family over the years. Adele had been instrumental in looking after Zoe’s daughter, Nel, enabling Zoe and her ex-husband Norman Cook to focus on their work.
Zoe, who shares two children with Norman, revealed that her daughter Nel had decided to move in with her father as she approached the end of her GCSEs. This change has resulted in a quieter household for Zoe, who appreciates the proximity of Norman’s residence, making it easy for Nel to transition between the two homes.
In light of these adjustments, Zoe now resides with her partner, Mat Weekes, who is affectionately referred to as “the lodger” on her podcast. Their relationship, although recently made public, is reported to have been ongoing for some time and has brought Zoe a sense of stability and love during challenging times.
Friends of Zoe have noted the positive impact Mat has had on her life, providing her with support and understanding. Their relationship is described as strong and loving, with Mat being warmly received by Zoe’s circle of friends.
