Horse Guards Parade in central London was evacuated after the discovery of a suspicious package, as confirmed by recent reports. The parade ground has been closed, and armed police are currently present at the location. Authorities are advising individuals to avoid entering St James’ Park, which is situated adjacent to the parade ground.
Horse Guards Parade, situated between Whitehall and St. James’ Park, is a significant location where Trooping the Colour takes place on the King’s official birthday in June. Tony Diver, a political editor at The Telegraph, reported that armed police evacuated Horse Guards Parade due to the presence of a suspicious package.
In a subsequent update, it was mentioned that the Cabinet War Rooms were also evacuated due to unforeseen circumstances, leading to the closure of King Charles St to traffic.
