Charles Bronson Awaits Parole Chance After 50 Years

Published on

Notorious convict Charles Bronson is anticipating the possibility of being granted parole after spending more than 50 years in prison. The 73-year-old, known for his history of violent offenses, is hopeful that he may secure his release, aiming to transition to a probation hostel and eventually gain full-time freedom by the age of 75.

Bronson, who has renamed himself Charles Salvador, expressed his desire not to spend the rest of his life incarcerated. The Parole Board has scheduled his next hearing for November. Despite acknowledging the slim chances of an immediate release, Bronson remains optimistic about the progress he has made and looks forward to potential opportunities for rehabilitation and reintegration into society.

A source close to Bronson revealed his aspirations for a release at 75, emphasizing the prospect of enjoying 25 years of liberty after enduring double that time behind bars. The Parole Board, responsible for evaluating the risk posed by prisoners upon release, will carefully consider various factors, including the nature of the crimes committed and any evidence of rehabilitation and remorse.

Bronson’s criminal history dates back to 1974 when he was first imprisoned for armed robbery and assault. Despite brief periods of freedom, including a stint as a boxer, he returned to prison for further violent offenses. Known for numerous altercations with prison staff and inmates, Bronson has been labeled as one of Britain’s most dangerous prisoners.

Currently detained at HMP Wakefield, also known as Monster Mansion, Bronson awaits his parole review with the hope of eventually reintegrating into society after decades of incarceration.
