Community Mourns Loss of 11-Year-Old Boy Cole

Tributes pour in for an 11-year-old boy who tragically passed away almost five months after a destructive house fire. The incident occurred in Clayton Green, Lancashire, late on January 6, prompting an urgent response from emergency services. Following intensive investigations, authorities ruled out any criminal involvement in the fire, attributing it to likely accidental causes. A fundraising campaign was launched to aid the affected family, garnering over £32,000 in support.

The young boy, Cole, succumbed to his injuries on May 29 after a brave and prolonged struggle. As the under 12s captain at Charnock Richard FC, Cole was a beloved figure within the club, having been part of it since the age of four. The club expressed deep sorrow over his passing, highlighting his leadership qualities and positive impact on and off the field.

Numerous individuals, including Sarah Ashton, Gaz Jones, Stuart Maddox, Tane Schofield, and Stacey Yates, shared heartfelt messages honoring Cole’s memory and expressing condolences to his family and friends. The community rallied together to mourn the loss of a remarkable young soul, emphasizing the lasting legacy Cole leaves behind.
