The incident marked the second fatality during a chaotic weekend, with the man’s body discovered near the Louis-Philippe Bridge by Notre Dame Cathedral on Sunday morning.
The individual, whose identity remains undisclosed, lost his life amidst a surge of violence following PSG’s successful defense of their Champions League title against the London club. Authorities confirmed that a total of 790 individuals were arrested in connection with the disturbances.
According to sources involved in the investigation, the river police recovered the man’s body around 7 a.m. Despite efforts to resuscitate the victim, who was in his thirties, they were unsuccessful.
