Construction workers in Lutoryż, Poland, stumbled upon a disturbing find of 29 human foetuses while excavating a driveway on private property. The shocking discovery prompted a thorough investigation by local authorities after the workers uncovered a significant amount of medical waste, including paraffin blocks and microscope slides.

Following the discovery, a 57-year-old suspect named Magdalena H. in Zamość was arrested on charges related to the desecration of human remains and the improper disposal of hazardous materials. If convicted, she could face a prison sentence ranging from two to 12 years.

Authorities confirmed that the remains found included human foetuses and fragments of early-stage foetuses. Medical experts verified the nature of the recovered remains on the site. It was revealed that the suspect, a pathologist, had previously owned the property where the remains were discovered.

Despite unofficial reports suggesting the presence of at least 13 foetuses, further investigations hinted at the possibility of up to 30 foetuses being unearthed. The area surrounding the discovery site has been transformed into a forensic zone, with police tents and specialized teams conducting thorough examinations as additional remains are located.

Forensic teams, donning protective gear, meticulously examined the soil around the property while utilizing an excavator to extract samples for DNA analysis. Local residents expressed shock and confusion over the incident, with one individual describing the suspect as “strange” without elaborating on specifics. The pathologist had bought the house two years prior and sold it to a young couple six months ago.
