A new foundation launched by Ariana Grande aims to provide support and resources for the LGBTQ+ community. Named the Brighter Days Ahead Foundation, it focuses on championing justice, safety, and hope through four distinct funds. Ariana expressed her gratitude for the opportunity to expand her support and amplify the impactful work of various organizations through this foundation.
The foundation’s primary areas of focus, as detailed on its website, include protecting trans and LGBTQ+ rights, enhancing access to mental health services, and offering compassionate responses during times of crisis. The four funds under the foundation cater to different needs within the community, such as advocating for rights, providing mental health care, amplifying LGBTQ+ voices, and offering emergency support in urgent situations.
Recent beneficiaries of The Emergency Support Fund, part of the foundation’s initiatives, include Save the Children UK, Humanity Crew, New York Cares, and other organizations. Meanwhile, on a different note, Ariana criticized US President Donald Trump for using one of her songs in a promotional video for the White House, specifically targeting the US Immigration Customs Enforcement (ICE) agency for its actions, which she described as “barbaric” and “inhumane.”
Variety reported that Ariana’s team successfully had her song removed from the video following her objections. This move showcases the singer’s commitment to standing up for what she believes in and supporting causes she is passionate about.
