A man who was restrained during a flight from Cyprus to Manchester has passed away. Identified as Callum Kerr, he was on a Jet2 flight with his girlfriend when he allegedly became disruptive and aggressive due to excessive alcohol consumption. Other passengers restrained him, and upon landing, officers discovered he was not breathing.
Mr. Kerr, in his 30s, has since died. Police responded to an assault report on the flight upon its arrival at Manchester Airport. Video footage shared online showed officers boarding the plane and administering CPR to Mr. Kerr, a bareknuckle boxer, who was then rushed to the hospital in critical condition.
Social media tributes mourned his passing, with heartfelt messages expressing shock and condolences. An investigation has been initiated by the Greater Manchester Police into the incident involving the disruptive passenger. Jet2 confirmed the disruptive behavior and the priority landing request for flight LS966, refraining from further comments while the investigation proceeds.
