A family in mourning has made public a tragic video capturing the fatal assault on their son in a bid to prevent further unnecessary loss of life.

Luke Thompson, aged 25, tragically lost his life after being struck by Dylan Maxwell during a confrontation, resulting in severe head injuries that ultimately led to his passing. Following Maxwell’s sentencing to 11 years for manslaughter, Mr. Thompson’s family paid tribute to him and emphasized the importance of sharing the distressing footage of the incident.

Luke’s sister Denise expressed their decision to release the video as a way to raise awareness that a single punch can have deadly consequences, hoping to prevent similar tragedies from occurring. Maxwell, a 28-year-old bouncer, was found guilty of manslaughter in relation to the incident that took place in Pontefract, West Yorkshire.
