Rolf Harris’ estate faced a significant financial setback after his well-known conviction for sexual assault.
A recently unveiled two-part documentary on Prime Video delves into the criminal acts of Rolf Harris, the Australian presenter and artist.
Titled “Rolf Harris: Primetime Predator,” the documentary sheds light on how his long-hidden crimes have continued to impact his victims over the years.
In 2014, Harris received a sentence of five years and nine months in prison, but was released on license in 2017 after serving just three years. Following his release, he resided with his wife, sculptor, and artist Alwen Hughes, in their home in Bray, Berkshire.
The mansion, valued at £4 million in April 2025, was recently put up for auction at a guide price of £1.95 million in March 2026, less than half of the original asking price.
Local estate agent Brian Warren noted the impracticality of the £4 million price tag due to renovation costs anticipated to be around an additional £1.5 million for the riverfront property.
Harris had lived in the house for many years with his wife and daughter, Bindi Harris, who has since changed her name. He passed away at the property located on the banks of the River Thames in May 2023 at the age of 93.
Spanning 6,440 square feet across two floors, the residence boasts four bedrooms, a 45-foot living area, and a 35-foot master bedroom. The outdoor space includes a studio, a self-contained annexe, and a boat house.
Although the house initially failed to sell at auction in April 2026, with the reserve price unmet, it was eventually sold later that month after the price was reduced to £1.755 million, with bidding starting at £1.4 million.
The property’s auction and sale have garnered attention following the release of the documentary “Rolf Harris: Primetime Predator” on Prime Video.
