Michael Le Vell, a long-standing presence on the popular TV show Coronation Street, was previously married to one of his fellow cast members. Rising to fame as Kevin Webster on the ITV soap in 1983, Michael quickly became a fan favorite, portraying a soap icon and being involved in numerous significant storylines over the years.
Throughout his character’s journey on the show, from his relationships with ex-wife Sally and daughters Rosie and Sophie to his recent romantic entanglements with Abi, Kevin’s time in Weatherfield has been marked by intense drama. Recent plotlines have seen him grappling with testicular cancer, betrayal from Abi with his distant relative Carl, as well as his sister’s struggle with early-onset vascular dementia.
Beyond the confines of the television set, Michael’s personal life has also garnered attention. In 1986, he tied the knot with co-star Janette Beverley, who portrayed Elaine Pollard on Coronation Street. The couple, who shared two children, parted ways in 2011. Subsequently, Michael entered into a relationship with Louise Gibbons in 2014, leading to their engagement in 2017 and eventual marriage in a grand ceremony attended by family, friends, and his Coronation Street colleagues.
The wedding guest list included familiar faces from the show like Sally Dynevor, who played his on-screen ex-wife, Alan Halsall, and Joe Duttine, among others. Coronation Street continues to air Monday to Friday at 8:30 pm on ITV1 and ITVX.
