Lauren Goodger recently shared the reason behind her decision not to inform her young daughter about the tragic passing of her baby sister. The former TOWIE star welcomed her second child, Lorena, with ex-partner Charles Drury in 2022. However, Lorena sadly passed away shortly after birth due to complications with her umbilical cord, leaving Lauren, aged 37, still dealing with immense grief.

Lauren, who also has a four-year-old daughter named Larose with Charles, discussed her experiences in a recent interview on This Morning, coinciding with what would have been Lorena’s fourth birthday. During the interview, she talked about her book “Mum Of Two: Love, Loss and My Life” and shared her reasons for not disclosing Lorena’s death to Larose.

Explaining her decision, Lauren mentioned that she wants to shield Larose from pain as she is still very young. She plans to explain the situation to her daughter in a more positive manner when she is older. Lauren disclosed that they commemorate Lorena’s anniversary by releasing balloons with Larose, who believes the event is in her honor.

Reflecting on how Lorena’s passing has affected her life, Lauren expressed that it has been an incredibly challenging experience that has transformed her as a person. She continues to cope with the loss, working on regaining her confidence and adjusting to significant changes in her personal life. Lauren also opened up about experiencing heightened anxiety, making simple tasks like traveling alone challenging for her.

In a previous interview with OK!, Lauren shared heartfelt moments spent with Lorena during her final 24 hours, emphasizing the deep bond she felt with her daughter despite the heartbreaking circumstances.
