A British tourist was taken into custody for allegedly attempting to kiss a flight attendant on the neck while traveling to Spain. Authorities intervened upon the Ryanair flight’s arrival in Mallorca, detaining the individual at the request of the cabin crew member who wished to press charges.
The 30-year-old passenger was said to be heavily intoxicated, leading to disruptive behavior onboard the aircraft. The pilot alerted Palma Airport’s air traffic controllers before landing, prompting police involvement following the reported incident.
Initially hesitant to file a formal complaint, the air steward later opted to provide a statement to law enforcement. Despite the passenger’s initial departure from the plane and passage through passport control, he was apprehended while trying to board his return flight and subsequently brought before the court.
Following a court appearance, the British individual, whose identity remains undisclosed, was granted bail as investigations into the June 29 occurrence continue. The tourist was seen entering court premises in handcuffs accompanied by Civil Guard officers.
As of the latest update, it remains uncertain whether the individual remains in Mallorca or has departed the island via an alternative flight. Attempts to gather comments from Ryanair and the Spanish Civil Guard by The Mirror have been made.
