Christine Lampard recently shared her thoughts on a particular aspect of motherhood that she wished had turned out differently, as she discussed the journey of expanding her family with her spouse, Frank Lampard, on the Sort Your Life Out: Unpacked podcast.
Reflecting on their path to parenthood, the Loose Women star revealed that becoming a mother surpassed her expectations. Christine, aged 47, explained that she and Frank had spent many happy years enjoying life together before considering starting a family. Initially, it was Frank who encouraged them to think about having children.
The presenter expressed that being a mother was a “complete blessing” and mentioned that she would have been open to having more children if circumstances had allowed. Christine highlighted how much she cherished the experience of motherhood and how she would have welcomed more children if she had started at a younger age.
Christine and Frank tied the knot in December 2015. They welcomed their daughter, Patricia, in 2018, followed by their son, Freddie, in 2021. In the podcast, Christine also shared her joy in witnessing her children grow through different phases of their lives.
She described her current phase as beautiful, where her children are at an age to communicate their needs and share their experiences. Christine expressed her love for the unique personalities of her kids, mentioning how Freddie already displays a dry sense of humor, while Patricia is emotionally expressive and sentimental.
Despite enjoying the journey of watching her children grow, Christine emphasized her simple hopes for them, focusing on their health, happiness, and values over achievements. She aims for her children to grow up as kind and morally upright individuals.
