During the NATO conference in Turkey, Trump launched a scathing attack on Iran, which reportedly experienced at least 85 airstrikes overnight in a significant US military operation. Iranian state media disclosed that US strikes targeted locations such as Qeshm island, Bandar Abbas, and Sirik, resulting in injuries from shrapnel. In retaliation, Iran claimed to have struck a US Navy headquarters and an air base in Kuwait.
A British intelligence analyst revealed that the recent attacks on Iranian targets were notably larger and more forceful compared to previous incidents, indicating a potential escalation in the conflict.
