The National Fire Chiefs Council (NFCC) highlighted the increased wildfire danger due to the hot, dry weather. They urged caution, especially in rural areas, recommending against disposable barbecues. The NFCC emphasized individual responsibility in preventing wildfires sparked by various sources.

Authorities have responded to multiple wildfires this week, including one caused by discarded glass at Whitmoor Common. Although not reaching the extreme levels of the June heatwave, many areas will face consecutive days of intense heat.

Amber heat health alerts have been issued for the Midlands and southern England by the UK Health Security Agency (UKHSA). The Met Office advises precautions for high UV and temperatures, emphasizing hydration, sun protection, and checking on vulnerable individuals.
