Hot weather continues to dominate the UK, with meteorologists predicting even higher temperatures for tomorrow. The GFS weather model also forecasts similar highs for tomorrow, with southern and western England possibly reaching 36C. Northern regions like Yorkshire could see temperatures of 33C, while the south-east, particularly around London, may experience highs of 35C.
Temperature anomaly maps for tomorrow show significant deviations from the seasonal average across the UK, with widespread areas facing well above-normal temperatures.
According to the GFS weather model, seven English counties could experience temperatures of 36C tomorrow. Despite the hot conditions, the Met Office anticipates rain, potentially heavy, in the north-west on the same day. Other regions may see isolated showers, but overall, the weather is expected to be dry and sunny.
Looking ahead to the weekend, the Met Office predicts highs of 35C in the south and 32C in the north on Saturday, dropping slightly to 33C and 29C on Sunday. The forecast for the weekend suggests an easterly breeze, bringing clouds to the eastern coasts while the west remains sunny and warm. There is a chance of showers in the southwest on Monday.
As the weekend progresses, the heatwave is expected to gradually subside next week, although temperatures will remain warm. The Met Office projects mid-to-high 20s for many areas, still above average for this time of year, with warmer conditions shifting more towards the north and west as high pressure moves across the UK.
