“Revolutionize Your Shower Cleaning Routine with This Surprising Hack”

Keeping your living space clean and organized can be quite challenging. The daily tasks of maintaining a tidy home often lead to certain chores being overlooked or pushed to the bottom of the to-do list.

For me, one of those neglected tasks is cleaning my shower screen. While I quickly wipe it down during regular bathroom cleaning sessions, it often goes without a thorough cleaning for months.

This particular chore tends to escape my attention until I walk into the bathroom and realize how visibly dirty the shower screen has become, especially on sunny days when the grime is more noticeable.

However, I recently discovered a simple and affordable solution for effectively removing the grime from the shower glass, and surprisingly, it doesn’t involve using a squeegee.

Previously, my go-to method for cleaning the shower screen involved spraying glass cleaner, letting it sit for a while, and wiping it off with a kitchen roll sheet. Although quick, it wasn’t the most environmentally friendly approach.

After stumbling upon a TikTok video suggesting the use of a soft kitchen pad with a bit of washing up liquid for better results, I decided to give it a try since I had several of these pads in my cleaning supplies.

Initially, I had reservations about using a sponge pad on glass surfaces, fearing it might leave streaks or spread dust around. However, I applied some washing up liquid on the softer side of the pad, avoiding the rough side to prevent potential scratches, and started cleaning the glass in gentle circular motions.

Concentrating on the visibly grimy areas near the bottom of the glass, I noticed the marks lifting off almost instantly, surpassing the results of any glass cleaner I had used before. A quick rinse of the pad and a repeat of the process took me just about five minutes.

At this point, the glass looked remarkably clear, albeit with a few water smears. To address this, I used a fresh pad to buff away any remaining marks, resulting in glass so pristine that it was challenging to distinguish the edges in photos.

The sponge pads not only provided a thorough clean but also proved to be cost-effective. You can purchase a pack of three for £6.99 from retailers like Amazon, B&M, or Home Bargains.
