A manhunt is ongoing for a father who caused a fatal crash while driving under the influence, resulting in the death of his baby daughter. Emmanuel Sakyi, who was convicted of causing death by dangerous driving and sentenced to 15 years in prison, remains at large after fleeing the scene of the collision in Milton Keynes. The incident, which occurred in December 2022 on Bletcham Way, led to the tragic passing of his seven-month-old daughter, Emmanuela, who succumbed to her injuries in the hospital.

During the trial, it was revealed that Sakyi was driving with a blood alcohol level twice the legal limit and in a manner inconsistent with safe driving practices. Witnesses testified that he drove his vehicle on the wrong side of the road for a significant distance before crashing into another car.

In a bid to locate Sakyi, a reward of up to £7,500 has been offered by Crimestoppers on what would have been Emmanuela’s fourth birthday. Beth Simpson, the regional manager for South Central West at Crimestoppers, emphasized the urgency of the situation, urging anyone with information on Sakyi’s whereabouts to come forward anonymously. The charity assured that anonymity would be maintained for those providing crucial details leading to Sakyi’s apprehension.
