A French-Swedish modeling agent implicated in rape accusations connected to convicted sex trafficker Jeffrey Epstein has been discovered deceased in the vicinity of Paris. Daniel Siad, aged 69, was found lifeless at his residence on Monday evening, as confirmed by the Nanterre prosecutor’s office. Siad was alleged to have assisted Epstein in the trafficking and exploitation of women. Following the release of declassified Epstein files in January, which contained over 1,000 documents mentioning him, Siad faced five rape charges.

The prosecutor’s office stated, “An inquiry into determining the cause of death was initiated on Monday evening upon the discovery.” An autopsy will be conducted as part of the investigation. Although Siad had not been interrogated by authorities, he had refuted the accusations, expressing his desire to present his side of the story.

Within the Epstein files, Siad likened his recruitment endeavors to fishing, stating, “In This busyness I feel like fisherman some time I cache quick, some time no fish,” in a message to Epstein in 2014. He also mentioned having brought women from various nationalities, including Swedish, Slovakian, French, Russian, and Chinese, to Epstein, who reassured him of reimbursing any expenses.

Siad maintained that the convicted sex offender Epstein had abused his trust. In a separate incident, French authorities apprehended modeling agent Jean-Luc Brunel in 2020, accusing him of procuring women for Epstein. Brunel was later discovered deceased in prison in 2022. Epstein himself had died in prison in 2019 while awaiting trial on sex trafficking charges.
