A six-year-old boy tragically passed away in a car accident shortly after his father sustained severe injuries in a separate incident. The boy, identified as Cohen, was involved in a collision between a white Volkswagen Golf and a parked white Citroen Relay van in Skellow, Doncaster. He succumbed to his injuries in the hospital on July 1, six days post the crash.

The fatal collision occurred just moments after another unfortunate event where Cohen’s father suffered life-altering injuries when hit by a motorist while cycling. A 52-year-old man was arrested by South Yorkshire Police on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving and other motoring offenses. He has been released on bail pending further investigation.

The driver of the van is cooperating with the police investigation. A fundraising initiative was launched to support the grieving family of the father and son affected by the tragic incidents.
